Whenever a matter becomes defended NLA will pursue the litigation process through the Civil Courts of South Africa (Magistrate and High Court).

This includes preparing notices and pleadings, perusing documents, contracts, arranging consultations with witnesses, conducting pre-trial procedures and presenting the Client’s case in the appropriate court.

NLA has over 30 years’ experience in litigation and we have resources to carry out this legal service as and when required.

Specialised and complex matters are managed to avoid unnecessary legal costs with guidance from senior council, where and when required.

Legal Bulk Processing

In the event where securing a payment is unsuccessful through the soft collection process, the matter is escalated to the Legal support Department, which is headed by Admitted Attorneys.

The legal collection process is initiated in this Department by issuing a Section 129 letter of demand and runs through to Judgment status, where necessary in accordance with SLA’s.

Volumes of processes are processed and up to 10 000 S129’s and 3 000 Summonses per day can be produced, based on Client requirements.

Complete reporting based on the efficacy of the legal action, as an aid to the collections process, is made available and discussed with Clients to ensure cost efficient application within strategies.
